Commissioner Steve Poizner rejected the recommendation for the WCIRB to raise workers compensation rates by a whopping 22.8%. This is the second time Commissioner Poizner has said no. This is good news for California’s battered small business owners.
“I am disappointed that the WCIRBs’ current rate filing fails to provide any analysis of the information generated at the Department’s investigatory hearing on June 8th,” Poizner said
