Let the Auburn Wildfire be a Wake-Up Call

I wrote a couple weeks ago about complaints I have been getting regarding insurance values on homes.

As the drama is unfolding in Auburn – I can tell you that there are going to be some people that are under-insured. Let’s hope that is not the case -

If someone is underinsured, they will end up having to get a FEMA loan to make up the difference in addition to continuing to making their house payment.

Please be sure to double-check your home insurance policy to make sure it is adequate. Auburn is very close to all of us – and this fire should be a sobering reminder that it can happen to any of us at any time.
