Employers: Are you ready to get sued?

In the name of equal rights, no less?

Excepted from the Article: “President Obama made support of the measure a point of his campaign.

The bill would make it easier for a worker to sue their employer for pay discrimination on the basis of sex, age, race religion or country of origin.”

Here is the problem with this bill or anything like it – when you make lawsuits easier, employers suffer because the defense costs will affect your insurance  premiums. The Insurance still has to pay to defend you – when lawsuits become easier to file. 

The other problem is that lawsuits do not require the same level of proof – it is not like Law and Order.

The interesting thing here is this – in a down economy, how is making it easier for employees to sue stimulus? Just a thought…
